imm cologne, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for interior design, marked the beginning of the new year for the industry. With around 42,000 visitors from 129 countries and 750 exhibitors, the fair was a significant event. Most of the exhibitors were positive, including bpi solutions, a leading provider of digital solutions for the furniture industry.

A lot has changed since the last regular edition of imm cologne in 2020. Despite the reduced number of exhibitors, some of which raised concerns about a lack of profitability, this year’s motto “Connecting Communities” created a positive atmosphere. This focus provided space for high-quality conversations and increased visibility for emerging talent and manufacturers.

During the trade fair, bpi solutions increasingly focused on expanding international contacts and presented a wide range of solutions, ranging from PIM and catalog management systems for all media to established furniture configurators for all platforms and covering the entire range of IT needs in the industry.

The solutions in the area of mobile working were particularly well received in sales. The CRM solution from bpi solutions offers comprehensive functions from placement management to detailed evaluations and annual planning. The mobile version allows users to access relevant data on the go, even in places without reception, thanks to the offline feature. With support for Android, iOS, and Windows, the application offers a versatile platform.

With a clear focus on business, inspiration and networking, imm cologne offered a unique platform and served as a central access point to the European furnishing market.

“Especially in the course of internationalization, also with regard to the Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile) in April of this year, very good discussions could be held both with the existing national business contacts and with the international exhibitors at the IMM,” says Michael Wilke, Sales Manager Furniture Industry and Head of CRM & PIM.
